Ellen is an experienced speech language therapist. She gained her Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapist Degree at the University of Canterbury. Furthermore, she completed a Master of Speech and Language Sciences with distinction.
Ellen has been working with people with traumatic brain injury, stroke, disfluency, children with speech and language problems, and people with dyslexia.
Ellen is employed by the University of Canterbury as a Clinical Educator as well as running her own private practice. This provides a perfect balance between private practise and keeping up to date with new developments.
Ellen runs communication sessions on behalf of the Stroke Foundation at stroke clubs in Christchurch and Rangiora. Ellen provides services to Insight and Focus on Potential, assisting people who have sustained concussion or a more severe brain injury.
Ellen is involved with SpeakEasy, a self-help organisation for people who have a stutter.
